Diamond fluorescence refers to the glow given off by a diamond when viewed in ultraviolet light such as bright sunlight.
One in three diamonds fluoresce typically giving off a blue color. One famous diamond – the Hope Diamond, fluoresces red when viewed with ultraviolet light. The Hope Diamond is blue by the way.
