Oscar Heyman & Brothers 100th Anniversary Collection to be unveiled early 2012

2012 marks the 100th anniversary of Oscar Heyman & Brothers and the company will celebrate by launching a new look and unveiling the Oscar Heyman 100th Anniversary Collection.
Since 1912, Oscar Heyman has been creating exquisite jewelry that showcases the striking elegance of colorful gemstones and the beauty of the women who wear it. Each piece of Oscar Heyman jewelry is ingeniously designed and meticulously crafted by American artisans
using European techniques passed down through three generations of this family business.
The result is an enduring legacy of heirloom- quality jewelry that truly transcends time. The company’s founding brothers trained in the rigorous workshops of Fabergé before leaving Eastern Europe for New York, bringing with them rarified skills and an abiding passion for gemstones. Beyond the classic diamonds, rubies, emeralds and sapphires, Oscar Heyman specializes in phenomenal gemstones with equally glamorous appeal, including alexandrite, chrysoberyl (cat’s eye), opals, aquamarines, star rubies and star sapphires all hand-selected for quality and color.
Oscar Heyman balances a rich history with a modern point of view and their inimitable designs are synonymous with beauty, style and indisputable quality of the gemstones. Among Oscar Heyman’s many renowned pieces from their 100 year history are those commissioned
by such illustrious houses as Van Cleef & Arpels, Tiffany & Co. and Harry Winston, as well as the exquisite necklace design for the legendary pear-shaped 69.42 carat Taylor-Burton diamond made for Cartier.
While known as the jewelers’ jeweler and still creating designs for the world’s most renowned jewelry houses, the Oscar Heyman brand is stronger than ever and their jewelry is widely sold under its own name at the finest jewelers around the country. Every Oscar Heyman design meets the most exacting standards, not only for the cut and clarity of the stones, but for the sheer ingenuity and grace of the settings.“2012 marks the 100th anniversary of Oscar Heyman and we will be celebrating this landmark event throughout the year by launching a new look for the brand, participating in shows around the world, premiering our 100th Anniversary Collection, and hosting special events with our retail partners,” said Tom Heyman. “Our goal for Oscar Heyman’s 100th anniversary, indeed for the next 100 years, is to continue growing the Oscar Heyman brand name.  More now than ever, we are designing and creating for our retail partners
signature collections and individual pieces that are coveted by jewelry lovers around the world. Exciting things are happening at Oscar Heyman and in our industry and we will remain a major force in jewelry design and creation for the next 100 years.”
Oscar Heyman remains dedicated to a hands-on approach of stone selection and an unparalleled pride of workmanship. Their workshop of craftspeople includes jewelers, setters, engravers, polishers and lapidaries and they maintains their own tool-and-die shop, alloy their own metals, cut and polish their own gemstones and shepherd each piece from inception through completion. Every piece of jewelry is signed and numbered, assuring the quality and pride of craftsmanship Oscar Heyman has delivered for 100 years.
Throughout the decades, Oscar Heyman has been creating iconic pieces whose designs have stood the test of time and remain coveted by clients around the world. These designs include the stunning Art Deco pieces Oscar Heyman became synonymous with in the 1920s; the
Oscar Heyman entourage rings with oval diamonds around a central colored stone pioneered by the jeweler in 1920s as well; the signature gardenia and pansy brooches created in the 1930s; the five row rings that represent the mid-1930s; the classic ballerina ring
designed in the 1950s; their signature large diamond necklaces of the 1960s represented best by the design for Cartier of the necklace for the Burton- Taylor Diamond. Oscar Heyman’s design innovation continues today with exquisite pieces such as the platinum, chrysoberyl
cat’s eye and diamond necklace with almost 100 carats of cat’s eye for retail partner’s client and a multicolored prong-set triangle sapphire and diamond bracelet.
The Oscar Heyman 100th anniversary collection will feature select pieces of classic Oscar Heyman styles to celebrate each decade of creative genius and their reputation for quality of the Oscar Heyman jewelry dynasty.
